BIG News

So, I got a letter from my Aunt K. today. In said letter she congratulated the hubby and I on our good news. "What news is that?" you ask. Well seeing as my Aunt thought I should share (sorry no underline), and that she would really like it if I would share more, that I would do just that.

On January 1st, after several days of feeling, well... strange, I took a little test. I got no results, didn't take it right. So several hours later, I took another one; the results were as follows:

While it's a little blurry, the results are pretty clear, it's a positive, an overwhelming positive it was too. The instructions say to wait 2 min for results, I got mine in 30 seconds, yet still waited the said 2 min just to be sure they didn't disappear. Well, they didn't and now I'm about 9 weeks along and everything seems to being going great. Except for the occasional bout of nausea that is. Had a visit with my doctor last week for a physical and we had extra time, so he says, "How about we do an ultrasound, just for fun, and see what we find. No extra charge." Hubby was with us, and we did and we got pictures (as seen on the hubby's website, scroll down) of a peanut and saw it's really rapid heartbeat. Very exciting and confirming my above test. So, there's our big news. So far so good and I shall do my best to give updates, er... share about how things go. I'll leave you all with a picture of the hubby and I with our Christmas tree. In true Grandparent tradition, taken on Christmas day, sadly on automatic since we didn't have grandparents to do the honors.

PS. I made the skirt the week before, a quick project, it turned out great.
