It's October... where have I been?

Well, I've been in Juneau most of the time, except for a brief trip to the Canadian Yukon via Tok, Chicken and the Top of the World Highway. It was very smoky up north, but we had a fabulous time. We stayed a night on the shores of Lake Lebarge, "... was the night on the marge of Lake Lebarge I cremated Sam McGee." - Robert Service, Cremation of Sam McGee, one of my favorite poems so it was fun to be there and, oh my, it was the most beautiful place of our whole trip. It was also much warmer than the night that Sam McGee was cremated. If we could find the cord for the camera I could post the pics, but, alas, it is missing at the moment, hopefully later.

Currently we are just hanging at home, with friends, getting out on those few fall days here in Juneau when it isn't raining. I'm subbing this winter at various schools, the Middle schools most often. I enjoy it most days. Others I just want to go home and cry as I wonder why I do such things. I've also been knitting away on many different projects and may someday take pictures of some of them and post them up here. In addition to this I've been slowly whittling away at my final portfolio for the Masters of Arts Teaching (MAT) that I finished over a year ago. It's getting done, slowly but surely. Looking forward to going to Cordova with my hubby next month for Thanksgiving with my family there. It's sure to be a blast and then some. Hoping to check out their LYS to see what yarn they have that we don't have in Juneau. There will surely be more to come as time progresses, but that's it for today.
