I'm still alive...

Okay, so December king of sneeked up on me. Where has all the time gone. Lord knows I haven't been that busy. However, I have done some knitting over the past few weeks. In addition to doing some holiday decorating. We've got a Christmas tree up, garland and lights on the fence, a wreath on the front door, and more. Pictures coming soon. But for now, here's some yarn I couldn't resist, it just screamed Christmas to me when I saw it at the yarn store. It's some extremely bulky stuff dyed by a lady in Sitka.

And the bowl I made with it. Sadly I didn't get a picture pre-felting. I used the felted bowl pattern from One Skein. I just love the way the yarn played out.

It's all spirally and stuff. Reminds me of a candycane. Needless to say, I am very pleased with the way it turned out. It was an extremely quick project to boot. Made me feel extremely accomplished.

Here we have a cotton soap sack. This also didn't take very long. Pattern is Fiber Trends Bathing Beauties, yarn is, um well... I couldn't find the brand, but it's the one with the panda bear. It was a nice, simple, easy lace great for a beginner. I knit a washcloth out of this yarn as well. Used the Bathing Beauties set again, old shale washcloth. Another fun knit.

Next we have one of my crowning achievements...

what looks like just another Christmas ornament, but is really my first striped project that goes with my first checkerboard (who now, hopefully, still abides with it's recipient, who shall receive this before Christmas). The ends are now all weaved in and it's ready to go, after I wrap it up nicely. Knit out of Mission Falls cotton (loved it) in the colors Pebble (103), Chili (207), Wintergreen (302), and Chicory (401). It surprising looks like a very fitting Christmas gift. Pattern is from weekend knitting.
