Feels like Spring

The sun is shining, the snow is melting, and by golly it feels warm too. Here's proof of today's sunshine:

This is Seemore, a long time friend received in college from my mom one Easter. He models for you one unblocked, but otherwise finished, Baby Bolero from One Skein. I used elsebeth lavold Cable Cotton color 02, a nice ecru kind of color. It's not Seemore's color really, but it's not for him anyway. This bolero will be given to a friend who's baby is due today. Seemore says, "Bring on the warm weather already!"

Perhaps the spring like weather is what has inspired my growing peanut to say hello. That's right, we've got flutters. Peanut was quite active a few hours ago. It's pretty exciting for me. In addtion, we got our first knitted baby item in the mail this week. I was stoked and kept admiring the following...

Baby booties sent by my Aunt L, giver of much yarny goodness. She also sent a friendship scarf that is quite lovely. Picture taken on my mailbox sitting in the sun. It was the only thing in the sun that wasn't white (snow mainly).

You can thank hubby for finally finding the cord for downloading pics from the camera and God for providing the luscious sunshine for pretty pictures. Not to mention my warm back. Ahhh, sunshine.....

All is well

Well, I had an appt yesterday with the midwife. Blood pressure was good, urine normal, peanut's heartbeat a good strong 160 beats per min. Found it quicker this time. Peanut was hanging out by my pulse, so mine was in the background. Pretty neat I think. Don't have any pictures, but I will be sure to post some when we find the cord to download them from the camera. When we do I will show the really cute booties that my Aunt L sent. The first pair we've received. I was excited and admired them for a good 5 min or so. Thanks Auntie.
